9-3 Vaccine and testing information for part-time students

Dear Providence College Student,

We are contacting you because records show that you are a part-time graduate, School of Continuing Education, or undergraduate student who has not uploaded documentation of COVID-19 vaccination to the College’s database.

Please upload a photo or scan of your CDC card if you have completed an approved or authorized vaccination protocol (two doses of Pfizer or Moderna, one dose of Johnson & Johnson).

PC announced in May that vaccination is required of all full-time students, and the mandate was expanded on Aug. 20 to include part-time students. The compliance deadline for part-time students is Oct. 1.

Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated students are required to participate in weekly testing. For part-time graduate program, SCE, and undergraduate students, the requirement has been revised and is now one test per week.

If possible, please report to the Asymptomatic Testing Center in Raymond Hall between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Mondays or Thursdays for your test. Please note that the testing center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6 and testing will be available next week on Tuesday, Sept. 7 and Thursday, Sept. 9.

If that is not practical, please get tested through your healthcare provider or at a state-run testing site and upload the result to the College’s secure database. PC requires a PCR-format test.

Graduate program, SCE, or part-time undergraduate students who do not comply with the vaccination or testing requirements will not be permitted to enroll in winter or spring term classes.

As required by law, PC will consider requests for exemptions on medical or religious grounds. Please inquire by reply email if you would like more information on the exemption process.

Please visit the College’s FAQ page for information about PC’s fall semester response to the ongoing challenges posed by the coronavirus.
